This was our 2nd time booking a tour with Olga and it was just as memorable as our time 3 years ago! This year Olga walked our group of 5 through the Saint Germain neighborhood and we tasted delicious croissants (the BEST in the city), chocolates, coffee, and hot chocolate for the 8-year old. She’s a wealth of knowledge about French food, baking, history, and architecture, and everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our ages ranged from 8-75 and Olga kept us all engaged. We added on the photography session for the 2nd time as well, and we could not be happier with those priceless photos. She helped everyone be at ease and encouraged natural poses — with in my opinion, make the best photographs. Our memories with Olga and treasured photos were a highlight from our trip. Highly recommend!
Olga was an amazing guide — we started the tour with coffee and croissants at her favorite local coffee shop and bakery. She explained how the baguettes and croissants are made and some of the history around it. We then walked all over Paris, where Olga gave insight into both historical and modern times. We tried chocolates and cheese, eating the cheese (best of my life!) in one of the most beautiful courtyards. Every spot we went to was so delicious that my mom and I ended up going back at least once to each one. Highly recommend!!!
I’m so glad Olga was available to guide our family of six (two parents and four kids ages 13-20) through the Marais for a walking food tour! We enjoyed tasting the delicious foods, soaking up the atmosphere, and learning so much about French culture and history. We met up with Olga on our first full day in Paris, which was wonderful timing: Olga was a wealth of information for getting the most out of our remaining time in the city. We’ll remember this forever: our tour was a Paris highlight for our whole family.Thank you, Olga!
This is our second tour with Olga and each tour has been absolutely fantastic. This time we took in the Musse d’Orsay and an exhibition of some of the grand masters, Olga’s knowledge of each artist was exceptional, we learned so much. Following the Musse we walked Saint Germain where Olga took us to a small French restaurant for lunch, the food was delicious then a short walk to the best coffee we have had in Paris and finally feasting our eyes on beautiful patisserie’s and chocolates through the area. This was one of the best days that we have experienced in Paris, thank you so much Olga.
I have just spent 3 of the most magical days of my life on a private guided tour of Paris with Olga from Delicious Paris.
Day 1 we visited a special exhibition of Manet & Degas at Musee D’Orsay, followed by a walking tour of Saint-Germain-des- Pres. Day 2 was a walking tour of the Marais, and Day 3 a walking tour of the islands and Montmartre. As we strolled slowly through the streets and galleries, she imparted her extensive knowledge of modern European history, Impressionist art and French architecture. Suddenly it all made sense, whereas it never did before!! Olga is highly personable, speaks excellent English (amongst other languages), and has this uncanny ability to instantly become your friend. It was more like we were chatting amiably than a history lesson. She took me to her secret spots, fantastic bakeries, magnificent restaurants, and sunny courtyards for coffee. I can’t recommend her tours highly enough. There is no better way to discover Paris. I’ve done those group tours before, but never again. If I could give higher than 5 stars for this experience, I would.
It was such a delight to be reffered to Olga for an intimate private tour of Paris. Olga was able to engage my teenager and keep us both interested and inspired by the rich French history.
It was a wonderful, unforgettable and “delicious” tour. Olga has a fine knowledge of history , architecture and cooking . We walked through the most delicious places in Paris, looked into Catherine Deneuve’s favorite confectionery (by the way, we were lucky to see her there). We saw Paris from an unusual side, non-tourist routes, excellent mood that Olga creates, left the most pleasant memories.
We met and toured with Olga in March 2023 for a tasting tour of the Marais area. This was our teen daughter’s first trip to Paris and she wanted an authentic Parisian foodie experience
Olga was a great tour guide with a fascinating back story. Olga’s english is great and provides a very thorough visit. I highly recommend this!
Olga recently took my family and me on a wonderful breakfast and food tour of St. Germain. This was my second tour with Olga, and a trip to Paris wouldn’t be complete without spending time with her her. We had a lovely light breakfast with freshly-made bread and coffee as Olga told us stories of Paris, both historical and current. Then we wandered through neighborhood, learning about famous events, legendary writers, and the lovely architecture. We toured different food shops like cafes, bakeries, and candy shops. We also stopped in bookstores and churches. Olga is a brilliant storyteller and made the city come alive as we walked and ate our way through St. Germain. We even say a couple get engaged near a flower shop! I highly recommend this tour (as well as her tour of the Marais) and my family and I can’t wait to return to Paris and take another tour with Olga. I can’t recommend her tours highly enough!!
I had a great tour of the Marais with Olga – She had so many great stories and a deep knowledge and love for the history of Paris (as well as all the great stops for food) – She is very personable and allows you to weave your way through city feeling like you are chatting with a friend and not a tourist – highly recommend.
Having a light breakfast and walking tour with Olga was fabulous. Her knowledge of French history and passion for the French culture shone through with every story she shared. During the walking tour, she brought history to life, as if she experienced it personally and was transported to present day to share it with us. You won’t be disappointed with the tour.
Olga met us and shared her background as we ate a Parisian breakfast. Then we toured the Marais. She showed us old Parisian Family homes, fine shops and edibles, and shared the history of the Marais. Olga is knowledgeable and answered all of our questions.
Four of us toured with Olga and really enjoyed the whole experience.
We were impressed with her knowledge, and her willingness to share this with us.
This food/walking tour was the highlight of our time in Paris.
Olga is absolutely adorable and passionate about Paris and the Marais. We ate fantastic pastries, learned a LOT and went behind doors that as a trepidatious tourist we would never see on our own. I took my college bound daughter to Paris for a mother/daughter graduation trip. Olga set up a professional photographer to take some of the most beautiful photos of us too. This day is my girl’s favorite memory from our trip (and we went on some fabulous tours during our week!) Thank you Olga for making our time in Paris so special! Great value for such a special experience.
Olga’s enthusiasm and love of Paris was contagious.
We thoroughly enjoyed the depth and breadth of knowledge she shared about making bread and the history of the Marais district. Helping us to understand the meaning behind the words as symbols was so helpful to us the rest of our trip!
The tasty tidbits she brought us to we’re tasty. Chocolate, croissants, pastries, pralines, felafels, sandwiches, ice cream were just few yummy treats we discovered with her.
My sister and I began our one month stay in Paris by taking Olga’s tour “Parisian breakfast & French lesson”. We had fun and learned some French and some French etiquette for restaurant visits. Olga added in history of Paris’ many multigenerational family businesses. Olga is a very professional and personable.
Olga was extremely knowledgeable and very passionate about providing us so much wonderful information. The private breakfast was so warm and special. It was like friends meeting. She showed us areas of the city we would have never known on our own.
What a wonderful tour! Leisurely conducted with a knowledgeable friendly tour guide! She was accommodating and very attentive to our needs. Highly recommend!
We see not newcomers to Paris and wanted to go something a little different. So, we set out looking for a walking tour just off the usual tourist path, and Olga exceeded our expectations. Our group of four included my 27 yo son, his uni buddy, my 12 yo niece and myself. Olga successfully organized a day that appealed to everyone. Her interest in food and her knowledge of the city made her the perfect guide. She’s warm and kind, so that by noon we thought of her as our old friend…. I recommend Olga to you without reservation.
My mother, sister and I enjoyed a private breakfast walking tour of the Marais district with Olga.
We had warned her that my sister was pregnant and therefore she took the tour at a slow pace (probably a little too slow to begin with) – but we very much enjoyed it by the end. She is very knowledgeable and a foodie, however it would have been nice to hear some more historical stories.
My daughter and I enjoyed a magical morning with Olga strolling the streets of Marais. She helped us to discover the secrets of the historic Marais neighborhoods including the best baked goods, chocolates and macaroons we have ever tasted. We peeked into secret courtyards and discovered the wonder of this wonderful old neighborheed. Everything seemed just a little bit more special when we were in her company. It was money well spent and I would absolutely recommend any of Olga’s tours.
My girlfriend and I we’re referred by my aunt when we told he we were going to Paris in May 2018. She said that we absolutely had to meet up with Olga and go on her food tour. We booked tickets and it was an AMAZING experience. We felt that we had been friends with Olga for years. She took us on an unexpected and unique experience of Paris food all while contextualizing the incredible amounts of history and personality behind it. This is a MUST DO if you are traveling to Paris and want to get an intimate experience of the city and the food.
Olga was a great choice for our first visit to Paris. My mom and I met her at the hotel in Marais and she was just wonderful. She showed us the best places for bread, wine, groceries, etc close to us. We went for a drink and then lunch so she could help us with etiquette and ordering. She was very pleasant and comfortable with us. My mom mentioned several times during our week there that she was so pleased with Olga’s tour. I would recommend her to you first timers or for foodies.
Our walk around the Marais with Olga was leisurely and memorable – her knowledge of both local food culture and the history of Paris slickly told and detailed. It was a wonderful morning, and Olga must particularly be commended on keeping a slow and relaxed pace with the two tortoises she was showing around!
We spent a wonderful morning with Olga at the beginning of March strolling through the narrow streets of the Marais. The tour was everything we expected and more. Olga was thoughtful and well spoken and clearly loves what she does. She accommodated our needs and was able to appeal to multiple generations. Charming morning with a lovely lady in a culturally rich neighborhood, you cannot ask for anything more.
Upon meeting Olga we knew our morning stroll through Marais would be a wonderful experience. She is as charming and interesting as the places she took us too. From a peek into a historical home and courtyard, the finest baguette and croissant we ever tasted, to tea and macaroons, Olga shared Parisian secrets and history of each establishment and producers with us. Traveling with teens, we all enjoyed every aspect of this tour and we found ourselves returning to these same places throughout our trip. Definitely recommend a tour with Olga, plan for it early in your trip so you can appreciate the insight she shared with you into Parisian way of life and history of the people and this enchanting city.
We had a fantastic tour with Olga. She was knowledgeable, showed us very interesting places and stores and kept the kids interested. The speed was just right and allowed us to meander, snack and enjoy the scenery. Thank you Olga!
Olga provides a truly unique experience on her tours. Of course the food is wonderful, but the stories and insights she provides on many of the Marias’ hidden treasures brought our family together and was an incredibly educational experience. She made sure to find something of interest for every member of my family, and I highly recommend spending time with her!
This was an absolutely wonderful tour! Olga is very knowledge and the tour was joy. It felt like spending the morning with a very knowledgeable friend. The tour was a great balance of history (I learned so much!), food, and a little bit of shopping. Olga even helped us pick out the perfect lunch spot for when the tour was over. This was one of the best tours we have been on, and highlight of our trip to Paris. Thank you, Olga for an amazing morning.
I recently traveled to Paris with 4 friends to celebrate our 30 yr anniversary as friends. Olga did our tour of the Marais, and we also hired her photographer to chronicle the event. They are some of the only shots we have of the five of us. Olga’s love for the Marais, and the mood and feel of the area are very obvious. It was a wonderful tour, and the photo’s they got really captured the area and our joy at being there and being on her tour.
A few weeks ago, Olga took us (me, my sister, and my mom) on a walking/food tour of the Marais district and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Olga wasn’t just a delightful tour guide, she is also an amazing storyteller. Everywhere we went, she told stories about the history of the district and the food shops that make the Marais so charming. She’s also a talented writer who made me fall in love with a part of Paris I wasn’t familiar with. I can’t wait to get back to Paris and take another of her tours.
Olga took us on a leisurely and very informative tour of the Marais district. Her passion for the history and culture of the area was infectious, and we found her insights fascinating. We tasted delicious dishes and got some inside scoop on places to eat and shop. Olga puts a personal touch on each tour and tailors the day to appeal to the particular interests of her clients. I recommend her highly!
I travelled to Paris with my mum with only 3 days in Paris. One of these days we spent with Olga and without her we would of not seen half of beautiful Paris. My absolute favourite part was where she took us for croissants and baguettes- the best!! The three of us had a fantastic time; we also had a very friendly and talented photographer who came along and took amazing photos of mum and I which we will cherish these memories forever!
We enjoyed an informative and relaxed tour of La Marais.
Olga shared her knowledge and love of the area, begining with delicious coffee and baguette from an award winning boulangerie.
We then strolled the streets as the history of the district was revealed, all at a very relaxed pace.
Together we enjoyed a light lunch before exchanging our au revoirs.
Well done Olga.
Dear Olga, we would like to say a very belated “Merci Beaucoup” for the lovely day we spent with you in the Marais. We have very happy memories of the time we spent with you, enjoying breakfast, wandering the cobblestone streets of the Marias and learning about its history, seeing family mansions, pretty gardens and sharing a delicious fresh lunch before exchanging farewell bisous with you at the Place des Vosges. You really opened up our eyes to a part of Paris that we were unfamiliar with, and we had a wonderful time – thank you!
We would love to return to Paris one day, and it would be wonderful to see you again. Thank you so much for all you did to make our day in the Marais with you so happy and memorable!
When I booked our walking tour of the Marais with Olga I was expecting to taste some good food and understand some historical facts about the district. What we experienced was so much more. Olga is warm and friendly and a very easy companion to share the tour with. She is passionate about her subject and has put a lot of thought into what and how she will create the experience for you. She shared with us excerpts from letters and diaries as well as photos, stories and historical facts to really bring alive the Marais and allowed us to understand it not just from a historical perspective but from a cultural and emotional one. We had spent time in the Marais before but I had no idea such hidden gems were still awaiting our discovery. On a practical note Olga was on time to meet us and all email communication with her was handled promptly and professionally. If you are looking for a deeper experience I can highly recommend Olga and Delicious Paris.
We organised to have Olga show us 2 areas of Paris namely Marais and Montmartre. Each day began with wonderful French pastries and coffee.Olga showed us many sights that were not on the Tourist Trail but gave a feel for the real Paris. She helped us with Metro tickets and advised us which stations were most suitable for our 5 days. She pays grreat attention to detail to ensure you leave her company with only pleasant memories. She designs tours around what pele want.
My husband and I have been to Paris four times now but have never done a “tour” before, or stayed in Le Marais. As it is such an interesting district we thought we’d like to know more so we organised a private tour with Olga. It was wonderful. The Marais is a special part of Paris and Olga’s passion brought it to life for us. We learnt so much about the area that we would never have known before and she took us to parts we would never have gone to otherwise.
Thank you Olga for such a good morning.
My daughter, on her first visit to Paris for her birthday and I enjoyed a wonderful tour of Le Marais with the very special Olga. The cobbled streets and eclectic mix of shops were a pleasure to discover. We enjoyed our early morning breakfast of authentic French pastries and the tastings of chocolate, macarons (so much to choose from!) We ate the most wonderful sandwich in the Jewish district and delicious homemade soup in a Family mansion cafe. Strolling along the streets and gardens listening to stories, admiring the exquisite family mansions, feeling you were really experiencing the authentic side of Paris. An excellent wonderful and attentive guide whom nothing was too much trouble (getting us to the station on time for our flight home!) it felt like we were with a close friend. We will most certainly be back! and look forward to exploring more of the real Paris with the lovely Olga.
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful day touring the Marais. Olga explained the history of this district as well as how it played such an important role in the development of Paris. We enjoyed a true Parisian breakfast and learned of the importance that the baguette, as well as other foods, is to the culture of this beautiful city. As we strolled and sampled some wonderful artesian foods we felt so lucky to have such a wonderful guide.
This was truly a memorable day.
My wife and I were looking for a food and history walking tour while we were in Paris and we were lucky enough to find Olga from Delicious Paris. Lucky because this is the best food and history walking tour that we have ever experienced. The tour was private and tailored by Olga to our requirements which was really nice.
Our tour was thru the Marais district and this was the Paris that we had been looking for with master patisserie, specialist confectioners, high quality ice cream parlours and real local food stores.
Olga is a fountain of knowledge and delivers the history of the area in a very entertaining manner.
The tour was very relaxed and Olga was exremely attentive with a very pleasant demeanor. When we return to Paris we will certainly do another tour with Delicious Paris and Olga.
While in paris for work we ended the week with a “DELICIOUS” tour of some amazing shops. From the first stop to the last, Olga’s knowledge guided us on a gastronomic journey that was fun, educational and definitely excited our tastebuds! AWESOME, AWESOME AWESOME!!! and can’t wait to do this again.
Wonderful informative walking tours. Olga is a very special person whom we were lucky to meet and tour the beautiful city of Paris.
We were lucky enough to be a family of 6 adults so had a private tour of Marais. We wanted a food tour but also some history, culture and architecture info. Olga delivered all this and more. She is really a warm and lovely individual who felt like an old friend by the end. She was also extremely flexible and stayed with us as long as we needed. This tour is not like some of the other purely ‘food tours’ where you go from shop to shop eating samples but then pay 95-100 euros. After breakfast (which is included) we bought what we wanted to eat from whichever stores we wanted which suited us perfectly. We also loved the Marais district and would never have thought of going there otherwise. All in all, a great time.
We booked 2 private tours with Olga of Delicious Paris. One for the Maris district and one for the Montmartre district. Olga’s tours were so much more than about food. She is a wealth of knowledge regarding french history and culture. Around every corner is story and every open courtyard a place to explore. She is a true, although not a native, Parisian. Her deep love of this breathtaking city shows.
I booked Olga’s tour as a surprise birthday present for two friends – it was without doubt one of the highlights of our trip! I have visited Paris several times before, but Olga really helped bring the Marais district to life. The combination of breakfast, a tour and then the cheese and wine tasting was perfect, and the stories Olga told us about the history of the Marais were fascinating. She is a knowledgeable and friendly guide who is clearly passionate about Paris and interested in the people who visit the city. The cheese and wine tasting was hosted with the same combination of warmth and expertise. Altogether it was a fantastic experience, and has been a real talking point since we got home!
We met Olga one morning on our recent trip to Paris. She promptly started our tour by walking us around the older neighborhoods of Paris (districts 1-4) and telling us all about the history of the buildings (family mansions) along with some of the more interesting, sometimes scandalous stories of past owners during the 17th century. We went to Au Petit Versailles bakery for their award-winning baguettes and super yummy croissants (which originated in Vienna but credit to the French for adding sugar and butter to make them flakier!). We also wandered around St. Paul’s church, a fixture of the neighborhood, and we lunched, shopped a little and learned more about this older section of Paris by each turn. Olga is knowledgeable and such a sweet person, and it was a joy to meet her and spend most of one day on this tour with her.
To fully embrace Paris, I couldn’t be stuck in a big-time tour, one of twenty, herding through the streets. I’m so happy that Delicious Paris is there to help those who really want to explore some of the city’s best pockets.
At a perfect pace, Olga guided me to spots I wouldn’t have found on my own. She shared with me enough cultural and historical tid-bits to light up the story of the neighborhood. Within this relationship, I felt I was walking with a friend who just happened to know a great deal about the daily dynamics of the Marais! Her approach is calm, curious, and genuine, which I couldn’t admire more.
People have different dreams, and this time our dream came true: my wife and I travelled to Paris. This European capital can never leave anyone indifferent, but when you are welcomed by a person so knowledgeable about this beautiful city, your impressions will certainly be unforgettable. We learned a lot of interesting facts about Paris, and visited many places on foot – frankly the best way to truly get to know any metropolis. Our trip was amazing- we discovered so many new things thanks to our personal guide for our entire stay in Paris – Olga Semko. Olga is attentive, caring and experienced. We all know a bit of Paris’ history- we learn about it from television, books, and friends’ trips, but thanks to Olga we experienced it in a way not available to most visitors. Endless stories and anecdotes enriched us. Moreover, our tour was tailored to our own relaxed rhythm. Beginning with the welcome at the airport and ending with her helping us maneuver duty-free returns at customs, our stay was thoroughly planned. Thanks to Olga, our trip could not have been better.
Our stay in Paris was so amazing, thanks to our time with Olga and Delicious Paris! Olga gave us a fantastic Walking Tour and some really helpful information for our trip. Well-chosen places for a walk, really delicious food and wonderful Olga’s personality made our trip truly memorable! We will definitely join Olga and Delicious Paris again when visit Paris.
My husband and I had a wonderful morning and walking tour through the Marais district wtih Olga. We started at a fabulous boulangerie (winner of best baguette in Paris in 2013) and enjoyed a coffee and croissant and sampled their wonderful French bread. We then wondered through the neighborhoods and Olga showed us homes and courtyards and shared stories and history that we never would’ve seen or learned on our own. This was one of our best memories of our recent week long trip to Paris.
Small group was perfect size. My friend and I on our first trip to Paris wanted to get the true local experience of a walk around Marais. Olga was so knowledgeable about every nook and cranny and was full of little gems of history that really rounded out the tour. Its one thing to see a beautiful building, but its wonderful to be understand why that door is there, why that stair looks like that, and who built it etc. You could tell that Olga not only knew her stuff, she was genuinely enthusiastic and passionate about sharing it with her clients. We finished the tour in Myriam’s restaurant where we felt like we were among old friends. OMG I didn’t think I could eat so much cheese! It was so delicious.
Absolutely Fantastic!
Between the food, architecture, stories, and the beautiful tour guide’s energy, you literally enter a Delicious Paris!
The Promenade with Olya felt more like a gathering of old friends than an excursion with a professional guide. I met Olya for the second time in my life in Paris and despite the fact that I am not a very outgoing person, she managed to create such cozy and comfortable atmosphere that I didn’t even see time go by.
She showed me quaint small shops, told me offbeat stories over coffee with a piece of cake in the courtyard cafe far from classic touristic places just in the very heart of beloved Paris. It allowed me to experience the unique atmosphere of Paris and become Parisienne, at least for a couple hours.
